Corrigent Systems, a leading provider of packet-ADM (Add Drop Multiplexer) transport systems for metropolitan networks, today announced the expansion of its sales operations in the Japanese market with the opening of an office in Tokyo, Japan. The expanding operations reflect growing interest in packet-ADM products in this region of Asia-Pacific.

The new office, located at 2-7-16 Toranomon, Minato-ku Tokyo, is led by Akio Ogiso, Country Manager, who was previously with Lucent Japan as Managing Director. "Japan's rapidly growing 3G wireless and IP VPN services is resulting in huge pressures on carriers to deploy cost-effective transport products that are more bandwidth efficient for Ethernet as well as traditional SONET/SDH services," said Akio Ogiso, Corrigent Systems.
