secondary copper that could prove important for the economics of any potential mining operation in the region (target size is greater than 50,000,000 tonnes with a grade of 1% copper equivalent). Excellent progress was made towards this objective with secondary copper intersections noted in almost all of the holes that were drilled within the central mineralized zone (see map at Website). A total of sixteen holes totalling over 4100 metres have been completed in this phase of drilling and the results from the central mineralized zone are available in the table below. Holes W-18 and W-19 were drilled in the low-grade low-grade

The best hole from within the central mineralized zone is W-32 with an intersection intersection /in·ter·sec·tion/ (-sek´shun) a site at which one structure crosses another.

Drilling in the Corriente Copper Belt over the last twenty months by Corriente has totalled approximately 28,000 metres in 125 diamond drill holes. Exploration in the region to date has identified four prospects with significant total copper resources and in addition, numerous drill targets remain to be tested in the Belt. Development of the project over the next period will include evaluation of copper resources from the Warintza area together with two nearby project areas in the north part of the Corriente Copper Belt (Panantza and San Carlos San Carlos (săn kär`lōs), residential city (1990 pop. 26,167), San Mateo co., W Calif.; inc. 1925. This will allow the three areas to be considered as one large mineralized system with potential economies of scale applicable to the expanded operation.
