Corrie friends in gay snog.
It will be a full-on smacker between Nick Tilsley and mixed-up Todd Grimshaw.
Street bosses thought long and hard before deciding Todd, played by Bruno Langley, should take action after agonising over his sexuality.
The shock smooch will leave Nick - Adam Rickett - absolutely mortified and he'll storm out of Todd's flat.
A source said: "The scene is guaranteed to provoke a huge reaction.
"We're expecting a varied response from viewers. But we're happy with this groundbreaking move."
The kiss on October 5 comes after Todd becomes good friends with Nick on his return to Weatherfield.
Nick spends nights at the flat Todd shares with his lover Sarah Louise - Tina O'Brien - who is Nick's step-sister.
As weeks go by, Todd's feelings for Nick become confused. One night, when they are alone in the flat after drinking in the Rovers, they have a boozy heart- to-heart and Todd surprises Nick with the kiss.
Shocked Nick storms off, leaving Todd devastated.
Meanwhile, Corrie stars have been hit with a smoking ban on the set and in the dressing rooms. They face the sack if they light up.
The ban follows a dressing-room blaze caused by John Savident, 65, the Street's butcher Fred Elliott.
