The May 30 story "Union Strategy Taking Its Toll on Hotels" inaccurately described contacts between Wilshire Grand General Manager John Stoddard and officials of Unite HERE Local 11. Stoddard did not meet directly with union officials. He learned through intermediaries that the union would ease its boycott if he advocated for a two-year contract ending in 2006.

The May 30 L.A. Story titled "Heavy Traffic" misstated James Okazaki's title. He is assistant general manager of the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
