In "Section 404 Compliance in the Annual Report" in the October issue, the Sample Management Report on page 45 should begin, "An internal control material weakness is a significant deficiency, or combination of them, that results in more than a remote likelihood that a material misstatement mis·state

The November News Digest (Accounting, page 15) contained an incorrect Internet address There are two kinds of addresses that are widely used on the Internet. One is a person's e-mail address, and the other is the address of a Web site, which is known as a URL. Following is an explanation of Internet e-mail addresses only. For more on URLs, see URL and Internet domain name.  for questions and answers on implementing Statement of Position (SOP) 03-1, Accounting and Reporting by Insurance Enterprises for Certain Nontraditional Long-Duration Contracts and for Separate Accounts. The correct address is www.aicpa. org/members/div/acctstd/general/ recent_tpas.asp.

Also in November, an incorrect Internet address for the AICPA Business Valuation and Forensic Belonging to courts of justice.


forensic 1) adj. from Latin forensis for "belonging to the forum," ancient Rome's site for public debate, and currently meaning pertaining to the courts.
 and Litigation An action brought in court to enforce a particular right. The act or process of bringing a lawsuit in and of itself; a judicial contest; any dispute.

When a person begins a civil lawsuit, the person enters into a process called litigation.
