Corrections to the index of the JBAA Volume 118 (2008).

The second entry for Vetterlein J. should read: 'The 'new look' BAA Handbook (ltr), 355'. Under Schroder W. add the letter attributed to me, thus: 'The frequency of aurorae in Germany (ltr), 355'.

I should also like to reflect (rather facetiously it has to be admitted) upon Mike Gainsford's letter (JBAA 119(2), 66 (2009)) in which he states: '... Leicester is more or less centrally situated for the rest of Britain ...' Hardly that, surely? Greenwich is 85 miles from Leicester whereas Inverness is 355 miles from Leicester. Orkney is 450 miles distant from that city and Shetland 550 miles. (Distance in a straight line and rounded to the nearest 5 miles.) May I suggest that the 2010 Exhibition Meeting be held on Fair Isle, as at least that would be centrally situated for Orkney and Shetland?
