Correctional health physician.

University of North Texas Health Science Center

Fort Worth, Texas

The University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center needs a correctional health physician in family practice or internal medicine. Requirements include: Texas license, BE/BC and either an allopathic or osteopathic degree. Correctional health experience is preferred but not required. Position is full-time and state-employed, with faculty appointment through the Department of Family Medicine, and it includes a full benefits package, medical malpractice coverage, five days for CME per year and some mileage reimbursement. The average daily patient volume is 15 to 20, and services are provided to four Tarrant County Jails in Fort Worth. The Family Medicine residents work the evening shifts; therefore, there is NO CALL COVERAGE, except "telephone" call coverage assigned every fifth week for one week. Children younger than 18 years old go to the Juvenile Court System; therefore, you will not be required to see patients younger than 18. Salary is commensurate with experience, with additional potential bonus incentive based on performance. We are located in the cultural district of Fort Worth. This is an EEO/AA institution. Apply online at www.unthscjobs.com and contact Blair Chappell at (817) 735-5106; cchappell@hsc.unt.edu.
