Correction.


The footnote on the BE ASSET MANAGERS list and the BE PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS list, appearing in our June 2004 issue, should have read: "in millions of dollars to the nearest thousand." And the reference to Ariel Capital Management should have read: "No. 1 on the BE ASSET MANAGERS list with $16.1 billion in assets under management."
