Regarding "The Right Answers" column in our December December: see month.  3rd issue, due to a missing decimal point (character) decimal point - "." ASCII character 46. Common names are: point; dot; ITU-T, USA: period; ITU-T: decimal point. Rare: radix point; UK: full stop; INTERCAL: spot.  the size of the tax cut that was passed earlier this year was incorrectly stated. The total tax cut is projected to be $1.35 trillion One thousand times one billion, which is 1, followed by 12 zeros, or 10 to the 12th power. See space/time.

In the USA and Canada, 10^12.
