" (October 2004), the University of Southern California The U.S. News & World Report ranked USC 27th among all universities in the United States in its 2008 ranking of "America's Best Colleges", also designating it as one of the "most selective universities" for admitting 8,634 of the almost 34,000 who applied for freshman admission was erroneously used as an example of a college or university considered
for our list, despite not having an African American enrollment of at
least 3%. USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. , ranked No. 30 on our list, has an African American
enrollment of 6.5%. The correct enrollment figure was used by Daystar to
calculate USC's place on the list.
