Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department in Florida. The $42 million cited in the story is the department's annual operating budget Noun 1. operating budget - a budget for current expenses as distinct from financial transactions or permanent improvements
budget items, operating cost, operating expense, overhead - the expense of maintaining property (e.g. , not its capital budget. And the projected $73 million in savings for updating the lighting equipment is over the course of 30 years. Parks and Recreation regrets the errors.
