Correction to Previous Advisory Regarding Signal Feed: The City of Los Angeles Presents El Grito, the Largest Mexican Independence Day Celebration in the U.S.

WHAT: As part of Latino Heritage Month, Los Angeles City
Officials, the Mexican Consulate and the Latino
community celebrate Mexico's battle cry for
independence with a symbolic re-enactment of "El
Grito" and a live concert featuring top Latino
performers such as Mariana Seoane, Jimena, Los
Elegidos, Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles and many more.
"El Grito" commemorates a Mexican tradition dating
back to 1810 when Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, in
the town of Dolores in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico
gave the signal that initiated the successful war for
independence against the Spanish colonial government.
