CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 3, 2003

Shaw Communications Inc. wishes to correct its press release dated September 1, 2003 announcing the declaration of a dividend of $0.03 per Class A Participating Share or Class B Non-Voting Participating Share payable September 30, 2003 to all holders of record at the close of business on September 15, 2003. Such dividend represents a quarterly dividend payment, not a semi-annual dividend payment as originally stated.

Shaw Communications Inc. is a diversified Canadian communications company whose core business is providing broadband cable television, Internet and satellite direct-to-home ("DTH (Direct-To-Home) Typically refers to satellite TV broadcasting directly to a dish antenna on the roof of a house.
