--- Masterpiece Technology Group, Inc. (OTCBB:MPTG) today announced
    that its March 12, 2001 press release, entitled "General star
    Indemnity Company Approves Masterpiece Technology Group and HCI as
    Compliance Vendor for New [sic] - Special Insurance Quotes for
    MPTG Customers is [sic] Lowest in Industry," is incorrect in the
    following respects:
      --- Insurance quotes, products or services from General Star
        Indemnity Company are not provided by or through MPTG
      --- MPTG and Healthcare Compliance Institute, Inc. ("HCI") have
        not been authorized by General Star Indemnity Company to
        provide MPTG's compliance consulting customers with "very
        special rates" on Medicare/Medicaid Fraud & Abuse Insurance
        for physicians, or on any other kind of insurance coverage
        from General Star Indemnity Company.
      --- General Star Indemnity Company is anon-admitted or surplus
        lines insurer in all states except Connecticut, where it
        operates as a licensed and admitted insurer. For risks that
        qualify, surplus lines insurance is placed with General Star
        Indemnity Company by licensed surplus lines brokers. MPTG is
        not a licensed surplus lines broker and is therefore not
        legally authorized to place insurance with General Star
        Indemnity Company
      --- MPTG apologizes to General star Indemnity Company for these
        errors and regrets any confusion which may have been caused by
        its earlier press release dated March 12, 2001.
      --- MPTG offers compliance programs through HCI and is not
        involved in sales or quotes of any insurance product.

CINCINNATI--March 12, 2001 --Masterpiece Technology Group, Inc. (OTCBB: MPTG) today announced that MPTG has been approved by the Healthcare Compliance Institute (HCI) to provide to their customers special products for Medicare/Medicaid Fraud & Abuse compliance. The Compliance Program is designed to protect against allegations of billing fraud and abuse.

The compliance product provides unique defense and liability protection to all healthcare providers who contract with the Medicare and Medicaid programs. The compliance product includes an annual assessment of the organization's compliance program, and access to a national panel of expert legal and compliance professionals.

Every healthcare provider is at risk for audit and investigation by state and federal organizations.
