Corpse is missing Iraq guard.


A BODY handed to British authorities in Iraq is that of Alec MacLachlan, Gordon Brown confirmed last night.

The Prime Minister announced with "deepest regret" that the security contractor's remains had been identified.

The bodies of Jason Creswell, from Glasgow, and Jason Swindlehurst, from Skelmersdale, Lancashir,e were handed over to Baghdad officials in June.

Alan McMenemy, of Milngavie, near Glasgow, is still missing but is feared dead.

IT consultant Peter Moore, who they were guarding, is missing but thought to be still alive.
