Corps seeks advice on boat ramp.Byline: The Register-Guard The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking public comment on an application by the Willamlane Park and Recreation District for a permit to improve the safety of a boat ramp on the Middle Fork Willamette River The Middle Fork Willamette River is one of several forks that unite to form the Willamette River in the western part of the U.S. state of Oregon. It is approximately 115 mi (185 km) long,[1] near Springfield. The district proposes to use a crane bucket to dredge about 220 cubic yards of accumulated gravel and sand from the front and sides of the existing ramp. Dredged material would be placed in the deepest part of the channel at the recommendation of the state Department of Fish and Wildlife. The corps also is soliciting input from federal, state and local agencies and officials, Indian tribes INDIAN TRIBE.
