Corporate Technologies Awarded $600,000 Minot Public Schools Contract.

Corporate Technologies USA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Vicom Incorporated (VICM-BB: Nasdaq LOTC Bulletin Board), announced today that Minot Public Schools (MPS), of Minot, North Dakota, recently purchased a complete Cisco network system from Corporate Technologies. The system will use a variety of Cisco equipment and includes system management tools and firewall. The total sale is approximately $600,000, and the network will connect 24 locations throughout Minot, including the Minot Air Force Base, with a mix of fiber cable, DSL and frame relay circuits. MPS plans to upgrade the entire school network system to a fiber optic network over the next three years.

Minot Public Schools District Technology Coordinator Craig Nansen commented, "We look forward to having the entire network up and running for the 2000-2001 school year." Craig also noted, "Because the network was so well designed, we have already begun to upgrade several schools from frame relay to fiber, something we had not expected to do for two to three years."

MPS Network Support Facilitator Brian Rossow added, "The system is expected to provide several major advantages for the school district, including increased network reliability, speed, manageability, and security." MPS plans to move toward centralizing their servers and to pilot IP Telephony (Voice over IP) as early as this October.
