Corporate Social Responsibility Reaches New Levels at Green Mountain Coffee.

WATERBURY, Vt. -- Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMCR) today announced that it has hired two new professionals and appointed an existing Vice President to form a team that will enhance the company's focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Affairs.

Michael Dupee joins Green Mountain Coffee Roasters as Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility, reporting to CEO Robert Stiller. In this newly created role, Dupee will lead the vision, strategy, and execution for the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility programs and assist in efforts to increase the understanding and recognition of these programs. In addition, he will perform activities to broaden the reach and resources of the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Foundation. Dupee is a previous Green Mountain Coffee employee and formerly an active member of the company's Environment Committee. In the interim, Dupee was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs & Co. and received Law and M.B.A. degrees from Georgetown University.

Liam Brody joins the Company as Director of Sustainable Coffee. In this new role, Brody will focus his efforts on increasing Green Mountain Coffee Roasters' purchases and sales of sustainable coffees, including those that are Fair Trade Certified(TM). He comes to Green Mountain Coffee from the humanitarian aid agency Oxfam where he led the organization's response to the global coffee crisis over the past four years. During his career, Brody has lived and worked in many coffee countries, from Guatemala to Ethiopia. In the process he partnered with a variety of non-governmental organizations, coffee producers, social advocacy groups, students, and coffee roasters, including Green Mountain Coffee. Brody earned his Masters of Education in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard University.

Paul Comey has accepted the position of Vice President, Environmental Affairs. In this newly created role he will focus on refining and supporting Green Mountain Coffee Roasters' environmental mission and strategy development. Prior to this position, Comey served the Company as Vice President of Facilities and Process Engineering.
