Corporate Real Estate Project Management Firm, PMLA, Appoints New Managing Director; Shirley Spinelli Brings Wealth of Experience, Both With PMLA and Other Organizations, to New Position.

PMLA Inc., a leading project management consulting firm, announced that Shirley Spinelli has been appointed managing director of its Los Angeles office, in which capacity she will assume responsibility for business development and internal administration.

Spinelli joined PMLA in 1998 as a project manager, and subsequently completed a 100,000-square-foot West Hills campus for DeVRY Inc. and Candle Corp.'s 350,000-square-foot site renovation and corporate office project in El Segundo. She is currently representing Western International Media Inc. for its 90,000-square-foot relocation to Wilshire Courtyard.

Spinelli joined the firm following an eight-year career with Gensler Associates in Santa Monica, which she left as a senior associate with a completed project list that included the Beverly Hills Hotel renovation and major office projects for Arthur Andersen and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton.

Spinelli will be responsible for PMLA's downtown Los Angeles staff of 14 in addition to maintaining specific client-contact and project management responsibilities for select engagements. The appointment coincides with PMLA's transition from a regional to national consulting practice, requiring Gingold's commitment to secure additional resources and pursue opportunities for the company on a broader scale.

PMLA is the largest fully independent corporate real estate project management-consulting firm in the western United States, and maintains offices in San Francisco and Orange County in addition to its Los Angeles headquarters.
