(Mountain View, Calif.) is a privately held U.S. fabless semiconductor company A fabless semiconductor company specializes in the design and sale of hardware devices implemented on semiconductor chips. It achieves an advantage by outsourcing the fabrication of the devices to a specialized semiconductor manufacturer called a semiconductor foundry or "fab.  that specializes in system-on-a-chip CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) Pronounced "c-moss." The most widely used integrated circuit design. It is found in almost every electronic product from handheld devices to mainframes.  and CMOS-CCD image sensor products and mixed-signal chips sets based on its proprietary fabrication processes and design methodologies.

Founded in 1995 by Paul Suni, a well known figure in the image sensor industry, the company's emphasis is in high volume vision components and subsystems markets that are emerging today.

The company's core expertise is in so-called Active Pixel CMOS and CMOS-CCD image sensor technologies that make cost effective high performance imaging system-on-a-chip solutions possible. Earlier this year, after having announced that it had successfully combined CMOS circuits and optimized CCD CCD
