A heavy glazed paper or pasteboard used especially to cover the platen or cylinder of a printing press. 2. A small ironing board. used in office products such as binders and index guides. The company is also the second leading U.S. manufacturer of latex-reinforced book cover materials. Due to the mid-1994 acquisition of the Endura Products Division of W.R. Grace & Co., the company now serves the specialty tape, electronics and blue jean label markets. With foreign sales offices in Tokyo, Japan and Annecy, France, Endura provides a platform for increased export sales. Specialty Paperboard is scheduled to upgrade its Brattleboro, Vt. paper machine in September 1995. The advanced capability of the machine will increase capacity and speed, expand the use of recycled materials and broaden the range of products to include more lightweight cover materials. All grades contain between 25 percent to 100 percent recycled materials. The pressboard mill and corporate headquarters are located in Brattleboro, Vt. The company also operates two additional mills - one in New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States.
