Orlando Regional Medical Center The Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is the only level I trauma center in the Central Florida area and, therefore, provides intensive care for this area. ORMC is part of a group of hospitals known as Orlando Regional Healthcare, and itself is home to three other  (ORMC): Located just south of Downtown Orlando, ORMC is the flagship of the ORHS system and is Central Florida's only teaching hospital. ORMC is also the region's only Level 1 trauma center level 1 trauma center Emergency care A hospital equiped to handle any level of severity of trauma, and has a trauma surgeon on-site 24/7 and an OR ready at all times for trauma cases. Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children The Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is a pediatrics hospital located in Orlando, Florida, United States. A part of the Orlando Regional Healthcare System and supported by the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation, it is located on the campus of Orlando Regional Medical Center  & Women: One of only four such hospitals in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to caring for children and women, including OB-GYN, pediatric pediatric /pe·di·at·ric/ (pe?de-at´rik) pertaining to the health of children.
