Established in Billings, Mont. in 1962, KOA and its familiar logo are recognized by both domestic and international travelers as representing facilities which provide quality camping experiences for their guests. Standard amenities include clean rest rooms, individual hot showers, laundry facilities and a camp store.

Additional recreation and guest service venues are available at many KOA Kampgrounds. KOA Kampgrounds offer level sites for tents and all types of recreational vehicles, as well as Kamping Kabins. Kamping Kabins are cozy wood structures that have lockable doors and wood-frame beds complete with mattresses.

In many areas, they also have electric light; some are equipped with heat and/or air conditioning air conditioning, mechanical process for controlling the humidity, temperature, cleanliness, and circulation of air in buildings and rooms. Indoor air is conditioned and regulated to maintain the temperature-humidity ratio that is most comfortable and healthful. .
