Company Description: Insignia Systems, Inc., provides in-store
promotional programs, products and services to retailers and consumer
goods manufacturers. Insignia's Point-Of-Purchase-Services (POPS)
program, a national, account-specific in-store promotion program,
produces higher incremental product sales increases than any other
shelf-edge method of delivering advertising and promotional messages
and information directly to shoppers. The POPS program is the focal
point of Insignia's future development plans and is rapidly gaining
acceptance by retailers and consumer goods manufacturers. Insignia
also markets standalone printers, software and supplies for on-site
production of professional signs, labels and large-format promotion
materials by retailers. For the six months ended 6/30/99, revenues
were $ 4.59 million, an increase of 1% over the first six months of
1998. Net loss fell 66.6% to $659 thousand compared to the same period
in 1998. Lower losses reflect the company's ! improved and profitable
performance of all business units other than POPS and the continued
growth of the POPS unit. POPS' second quarter 1999 revenue exceeded
first quarter 1999 revenue by 20% and revenue for POPS in the first
six months of 1999 exceeded POPS revenue for all of 1998 by 129%.
