Company description: IBVA Technologies Inc. was formed to further the development of the IBVA (Interactive Brainwave Analyzer) System, a small wireless, sensitive and durable EEG EEG: see electroencephalography. , which is the product of 20 years and over $1.8 million of hardware and software development.

The first working IBVA hardware and software prototype was developed from 1983 to 1987. During the next three years, from 1988 to 1990, the IBVA evolved from a prototype into a viable commercial model. Random Electronics Design funded the approximately $600,000 necessary for hardware and software development. Manufacturing of the IBVA is presently being developed in Huangoun, Beijing, China, with assistance and support from IBVA Technologies and Random Electrics Design.

The IBVA is a mind-to-machine interface, which allows its manager to interactively control, via brainwaves, computers, video games See video game console. , movies, musical instruments and any devices that can be interfaced to a digital computer. It can also be used for traditional brainwave biofeedback biofeedback, method for learning to increase one's ability to control biological responses, such as blood pressure, muscle tension, and heart rate. Sophisticated instruments are often used to measure physiological responses and make them apparent to the patient, who  purposes. Over 2000 IBVA systems have been sold worldwide since 1991, with very little marketing other than word-of-mouth. The IBVA has been featured in over 150 television shows, books and newspaper and magazine articles worldwide, and has developed a reputation for cutting edge quality.
