Extempo offers stock character products, character customization tools, and services for custom character development and integration. These products and services exploit several proprietary software technologies: Imp Engine(TM) which provides the runtime environment A configuration of hardware and software. It includes the CPU type, operating system and any runtime engines or system software required by a particular category of applications. See runtime engine.  for the "minds" of Imp Characters and the APIs for integrating them with other product components; Imp Talk(TM) which enables characters to converse through chat software; and LiveComics(TM) which enables characters to express actions and moods through dynamically changing graphic images.
