EduSoft was founded as an independent company in 1991 after being a separate strategic business unit of its parent, Degem Systems Ltd., who owns 63% of EduSoft's stock.

EduSoft's products are offered in over 15 different languages and they are grouped in four major product lines - Science, Technology, English learning and Early Learning. EduSoft's products are used in over 30 countries by households, schools of all sorts, corporations and government ministries of education and labor.

EduSoft's flag-ship product is English Discoveries, a multimedia English-learning series of 12 CD-ROMs released in 1994. The product is sold in both an institutional version to schools and corporations and in a consumer version to home users under a different name, English+.
