The company's strategy is to: 1) identify and acquire promising, early-stage research projects and developing technologies that address unmet medical needs and have large potential markets; 2) form eminent Scientific Advisory Boards to design "proof of principle" experiments to validate the technology; 3) immediately following successful completion of these experiments, commercialize or sublicense such technology by entering into agreements with one or more major pharmaceutical companies for full clinical development, manufacturing and marketing.

Atlantic has developed a proprietary instrument system and associated single procedure disposable attachments -- Catarex(TM) -- for cataract removal. This device, if approved, may allow cataract removal in less than 10 minutes, through a lmm operative incision. Atlantic is developing enhancing technology for antisense therapeutics. This is based on a proprietary, antisense-linked activator of an intracellular enzyme, RNaseL, which leads to rapid, selective destruction of mRNA targets.

Two other promising technologies include CT-3 and sulfated cyclodextrins (CT-1 and CT-2). CT-3 is a novel molecule which, in early studies, has exhibited marked anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects without causing any gastric ulceration. CT-1 and CT-2 are able to avidly bind growth factors which are responsible for vascular restenosis (narrowing).
