Company description: Advanced Monitors develops products based on infrared heat sensing technology. These products are for human and animal temperature measurement. The primary product of Advanced Monitors is an animal ear thermometer. This is a hand-held instrument that measures the animal's tympanic membrane (ear drum) temperature. The ear drum is an excellent site for temperature measurement because it is a "core" body temperature body temperature, internal temperature of a living organism. Mammals and birds are termed warm-blooded, or homeothermic, i.e., they are able to maintain a relatively constant inner body temperature, whereas other animals are cold-blooded, or poikilothermic, i.e., their body temperature varies according to the temperature of the environment..
