Company description: As a leading designer and manufacturer of enterprise-wide storage technology, ANDATACO offers a complete line of storage solutions. These disk, tape and RAID storage products are faster to install, easier to use and simpler to upgrade than conventional storage systems. Smart Storage systems have more advanced system monitoring tools and features than typical SCSI-based storage products. This is achieved through the development of software and SCSI-based hardware technologies that are built-in.

The intelligence behind ANDATACO's storage products results from the presence of a SCSI Processor Module housed with the peripheral and host-based software which communicates with this module. This module provides information and enables the peripheral to perform such functions as mirroring, RAID level 0 or 1 and caching, to name a few. This processor provides performance and function enhancements without the need for custom device drivers and without operating system dependency.

ANDATACO's storage product line includes: Enable Fixed and Removable Disk A disk module that is inserted into the drive for reading and writing and removed when not required. Floppy disks, Zip disks, Jaz disks and CD-ROMs are common examples. See magnetic disk and optical disk.
