) announced today the sale of 2 office buildings totaling 258,657 square feet within its New Jersey portfolio for $42.8 million. This sale consists of 695 Route 46, a four story office building containing 157,394 square feet and 710 Route 46, a four story office building containing 101,263 square feet.

Both office buildings were purchased by the Company in May 1998 and are located in Fairfield, New Jersey. 695 Route 46 was sold into a joint venture in March 2003, with COPT retaining 20% ownership.

"This sale is a continuation of the Company's strategy to over time dispose of assets located outside of its core markets and provides COPT the opportunity to recycle capital into acquisitions and development in our higher growth markets," stated Randall M.
