Colorado Springs is a new market for the Company based on its expansion strategy built around meeting the multi-location requirements of its existing strategic tenants. Mr. Swintz joins Corporate Office Properties from Grubb & Ellis|Quantum Commercial Group in Colorado Springs, CO, where he was Senior Broker Associate.

In his new position, Mr. Swintz will supervise all marketing, leasing and asset management functions for the Company's holdings in Colorado Springs, which is presently comprised of a 64 acre parcel of land known as Patriot Park and the development rights to build a two story, 50,000 square foot Class A office building on approximately 5 of the 64 acres within the park. The remaining 59 acres can be developed with over 600,000 square feet of office space. His responsibilities also include identifying new acquisition opportunities and coordination of development projects.

Mr. Swintz brings with him 28 years of real estate experience in development, leasing and sales, build to suit construction, and consulting. His most recent efforts involve clients in the defense, high-tech and medical industries. As an active leasing and sales broker in the Colorado Springs market for over 25 years, his contacts reach deep into all segments of the economy. Mr. Swintz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Real Estate with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota (body, education) University of Minnesota - The home of Gopher.
