Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa will again host corporate directors from across the United States for The Florida Directors' Institute on November 2, 2007, Professor Joseph McCann announced today. In its third year, the Institute is an annual intensive one-day program. The 2007 program will focus on best practices in governance, crisis management, executive compensation, and how to handle a going private offer. The Florida Directors' Institute is the only Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS ISS See Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS). ) accredited program in Florida and one of a handful of such programs available nationally. The program is expected to qualify for continuing legal education The purpose of continuing legal education is to maintain or sharpen the skills of licensed attorneys and judges.
