Corporate Directors Forum Names 2007 Director of the Year Honorees.

The relationship between all the stakeholders in a company. This includes the shareholders, directors, and management of a company, as defined by the corporate charter, bylaws, formal policy, and rule of law.
 are all things a good director must possess, and Corporate Directors Forum is honoring San Diego's top directors with the Director of the Year Awards.

Recognized for their efforts in the boardroom and behind the scenes, awards are given in the following categories: corporate governance; enhancement of economic value; companies in transition; corporate citizenship Corporate Citizenship

The extent to which businesses are socially responsible in meeting legal, ethical and economic responsibilities placed on them by shareholders. The aim it to create higher standards of living and quality of life in the community in which it operates, while
; corporate governance, not-for-profit; and lifetime achievement.

The awards will be presented Sept. 25 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Those who will be recognized at the event are:

1. High respect, as that shown for special merit; esteem: the honor shown to a Nobel laureate.

* Donald E. Felsinger, chairman of the board, Sempra Energy Sempra Energy NYSE: SRE is a San Diego, California-based energy services holding company that was founded in 1998. Sempra owns the Southern California Gas Company, San Diego Gas & Electric, Sempra Commodities, and Sempra Generation. , honored as Director of the Year for Enhancement of Economic Value.

* Ron Taylor, director, various boards, recognized for Lifetime of Achievement in Corporate Governance.
