The venture, formed late last December, will be known as Gizeh Spuntec Vliesstoffwerk GmbH. The new company was created as a result of parent company Gizeh spinning off its spunbonded division; Corovin holds a 30% interest in the new company. Under terms of the agreement, the companies will exchange technology and know-how; current nonwovens technology at Gizeh Spuntec has already been modified. Corovin will also introduce its latest technologies into the company. With manufacturing in Berlin, the company's present capacity is approximately 3000 tons a year on two spunbonded lines. Markets include textile and hygiene hygiene, science of preserving and promoting the health of both the individual and the community. It has many aspects: personal hygiene (proper living habits, cleanliness of body and clothing, healthful diet, a balanced regimen of rest and exercise); domestic hygiene fields as well as some technical applications.
