His story lines have included losing wife-to-be Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) after cheating on her with a male nurse. On Wednesday, viewers will see Todd erupt in a rage after coming home to discover his brother Jason (Ryan Thomas) in bed with Sarah.

Their moment of passion causes Todd, who took part in the soap opera's first gay kiss, to leave home.

Viewers will see him get a bus out of town on Wednesday night's episode.

Scriptwriters have left the door open for Bruno's possible return, after deciding not to kill off his character.
