Coromandel Resources Ltd. expanding Nevada project.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 1996--COROMANDEL RESOURCES LTD. (VSE CND.) (the "Company"), announces that it has the exclusive option to acquire a leasehold interest in the Endeavor Project, located in Pershing County, Nevada.

If the Company proceeds with this option, it can acquire a 100 percent leasehold interest by paying a signing fee of US$40,000, issuing 200,000 shares over three years and incurring exploration expenditures of US$1,500,000 over four years. In addition, the Company has granted the vendor a royalty equal to 5 percent of the net smelter returns, of which it may repurchase 1 percent for US$1,000,000, and pay advance royalty payments totalling US$95,000 in the first four years and US$35,000 each year thereafter.

The Endeavor Project comprises 130 unpatented mining claims, on the NW flank of Granite Mountain. Potential exploration targets include both maar-diatreme and the sediment hosted Carlin type/Purple Vein/Turquoise Ridge style systems.

This agreement is subject to approval by the Board of Directors and the Vancouver Stock Exchange.

With the opening of a permanent technical office in Tonopah, Nevada, to oversee the exploration of the Weepah gold mine exploration, the Company has been introduced to a number of potential acquisitions. The acquisition committee has been reviewing several of the more promising properties.

The Company is awaiting additional assay results from the current Weepah, Phase One, drilling program, exploration holes and some target holes. Phase Two drilling program is currently being developed.
