Cornfield Electronics' TV-B-Gone Teams Up with Schools, Adbusters, White Dot for TV Turn-off Week -- April 25-May 1.

SAN FRANCISCO San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  -- Cornfield Electronics, makers of TV-B-Gone(TM), teams up with local schools, Adbusters and White Dot to help make this year's TV Turn-off Week -- April 25-May 1, an international success.

"TV has become a worldwide epidemic and sadly, a way of life for some people," says Mitch Altman, inventor INVENTOR. One who invents or finds out something.

your attention with unwanted ads and useless information everywhere you go. I designed TV-B-Gone to give people some power over all of this, to help improve their quality of life."

During TV Turn-off Week, Altman will be taking his message to local schools to talk to students about how TV-B-Gone works and how watching less TV can play an integral part in each child's future success, happiness and quality of life.

"The dangers of excessive TV watching are very real," adds Altman. "Studies show that TV undermines family time, harms academic performance and encourages violence." A 2003 Harvard research study, found that each two-hour per day increment To add a number to another number. Obesity has been defined as a weight more than 20% above what is considered normal according to standard age, height, and weight tables, or by a complex formula known as the body mass index. . The Nielsen Index shows that the average child watches approximately 18,000 television murders before high school graduation.

Altman says the idea for TV-B-Gone came when out with friends one night, they found themselves half-watching the restaurant's TV, instead of enjoying each other's company.

To reclaim these types of public spaces, Cornfield Electronics has teamed up with White Dot for its international "Ruined Diners Diners can mean:
