Corn, wheat, soybeans rise on CBOT


Agriculture futures mostly rose Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 8.25 cents to $6.50 a bushel; December corn increased 1.75 cents to close at $3.43 a bushel; December oats lost a penny to $2.69 a bushel; November soybeans rose 6.5 cents to settle at $8.61 a bushel.

Beef futures declined, while pork futures edged higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle fell 0.18 cent to end at 97.97 cents a pound; September feeder cattle dropped 0.03 cent to $1.1632 a pound; October lean hogs rose 2.9 cents to 77.6 cents a pound; February pork bellies rose 0.05 cent to 87.35 cents a pound.
