Corinex BPL/GPON Product Named Broadband World Forum Finalist.

Company's gateway product recognized as one of the top broadband innovations in Asia-Pacific region by the International Engineering Consortium

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Corinex Communications Corp., a leading provider of Powerline and Coaxial networking products, announces today it has been named a 2008 finalist for the Broadband World Forum in Asia. The company's BPL/GPON gateway product received the nomination in the Access Network Technologies and Services category by the International Engineering Consortium.

The award-nominated Corinex BPL/GPON gateway product combines Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPON) with Broadband over Power Line (BPL) technology to empower telecommunication carriers and power utilities to distribute a broadband access network. Instead of copper pairs, the product uses low voltage power lines to allocate "last mile" Internet access to a home or business.
