SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 2000

Zindart Limited (Nasdaq:ZNDT), a leading producer and marketer of high-quality die-cast and injection-molded products and replica scale model collectibles, quality books and specialty packaging, announced during the Radio Control Hobby Trade Association (RCHTA) show that Zindart's Corgi Classics, Inc. division installed its first dedicated display cabinets in the FAO Schwarz flagship store in Chicago.

Located at the entrance of the third floor vehicle section, Corgi Classics merchandizes over 40 Corgi models on a company-owned dedicated display stand. The die-cast collectibles range from Bond and Beatles memorabilia retailing at $20 to a heavy hauling truck, which retails for $180.

Steve Benoff, Buyer for FAO Schwarz, stated "We are extremely pleased with Corgi's product movement. Corgi is a unique line and we are considering expanding Corgi's product selection."

"Corgi collectibles have been offered at FAO Schwarz for some time," stated John Dunkel, Corgi's Vice President Marketing and U.S. General Manager. "Now our prominent display stand in the flagship store increases our exposure to collectors, young and old in this market. We are monitoring our product movement closely in order to capitalize on our best-sellers in future displays."

The Corgi Classics' FAO Schwarz display stand was unveiled during the RCHTA Hobby and Model Show in Chicago, one of the industries most significant trade shows. An actual U.S. military vehicle welcomed all patrons to the show and directed them to Corgi's booth where visitors could read about the new "Unsung Heroes" line which includes meticulously researched replicas of vehicles commemorating the men and machines of the Vietnam War.

"The show generated enormous interest. Since then, we have witnessed an increase in new accounts of 12% to our base customer list," commented Dunkel. "Distributors and retailers reported that they prefer our new direct-to-customer distribution strategy over the prior manufacturer's representative approach. We now have a full sales and marketing staff based in Chicago and we intend to leverage the trade show lead and the FAO relationship to further our U.S. distribution."
