:COR.) has joined the fast-growing Application Service Provider (ASP) Industry Consortium, an international advocacy group dedicated to fostering greater understanding and guidelines for the fast-emerging application service provider segment of the computer industry.

The Massachusetts-based ASP Industry Consortium (Application Service Provider Industry Consortium, Wakefield, MA) A now disbanded trade organization founded in 1999 dedicated to research and standards in the application service provider (ASP) industry.  has grown quickly in only a few months. Launched on May 11, 1999, at Networld + Interlop in Las Vegas with 25 companies, the consortium now has more than 200 members, including Corel. The consortium will sponsor research, foster standards and work to educate the marketplace about the benefits of the evolving ASP delivery model.

Corel is an internationally recognized software developer that has recently embraced the application service provider delivery model. Corel's success is built on its ability to deliver cutting-edge technology to the desktops of computer users around the world. From its early years as a pioneer in the graphics software field to its current innovations in business and Internet software for a variety of platforms, Corel has consistently developed products that respond to evolving consumer needs.
