Corel DESIGNER 10 simplifies and enhances the production of technical graphics by delivering specific tools for technical drawing and ensuring seamless file sharing within a technical drawing workflow. Newly designed with Corel's graphics expertise, Corel DESIGNER 10 is built to deliver accurate and detailed technical graphics - elements crucial for the technical graphics industry.

New Features Introduced in Corel DESIGNER 10

-- New Precision Snapping capabilities allow users to accurately specify locations in a technical drawing. Features like Gravity Snapping automatically locates snap points so users can precisely add or modify geometry while using any tool.

-- Powerful new editing tools control all transformations from one location. With the new Transformation Docker, users can precisely move, rotate, scale, flip, skew and project objects to isometric views. Combine multiple objects into a single object with Convert to Ellipse and Join Curves options. Delete single line segments in just one click, or delete multiple line segments by marquee selecting them with the Virtual Segment Delete tool.

-- Symbols dramatically reduce the overall file size of illustrations and improve their consistency. Corel DESIGNER 10 includes thousands of reuseable, industry standard Symbols that can be stored in files or linked over a network. When changes have been made in the symbol libraries the Link Manager allows users to update all graphics to ensure consistency across all documents.

-- Robust technical illustration tools are enhanced to allow for creation and modification of technical graphics such as call-outs with halos, dimensions, connector lines, line style sizes and custom line endings.

-- Compatibility has been enhanced by including support for more than 60 import/export filters, and even more support for formats common to the technical graphics workflow such as CorelDRAW, AutoCAD DXF/DWG, Microsoft Word, CGM, SVG PDF and Microsoft Visio.

-- CorelTRACE(R) 11 is included to speed up production time by allowing users to import scanned legacy raster images, diagrams and schematics using TWAIN-compatible devices and converting them to editable vector format.

-- Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is now included in the application so users can quickly begin scripting and automating tasks to further enhance their workflow.

Pricing and Availability

Corel DESIGNER 10 will be available in March 2003 across North America for the suggested retail price of $469 US for the full box and $229 US for the upgrade version.
