Corel Acquires Equity Stake in Simply.com: Corel and Simply.com bring videoconferencing to the Linux desktop.

Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL)(TSE: COR.) today announced it has acquired a 10 per cent equity stake in Simply.com Inc., an innovative communications company that manufactures and markets optimum videoconference solutions designed around the client's business model.

Simply.com, whose current products service applications in government, education, health care, aerospace, and the financial sector, will be focusing on bringing videoconferencing and images to the Linux(r) market. In the future, Corel plans to integrate Simply.com videoconferencing software technology into Corel(r) LINUX(r) OS to bring people around the world face to face.
