) chip set for their new corega WLCB-54G (Wireless PC Card) and corega WLAP-54G Set (Wireless Access Point and Wireless PC Card).

The new corega PC Card and AP incorporate Intersil's highly integrated two-chip PRISM GT solution. Since both the 802.11b and 802.11g standards are built in, the user can protect their investment in an existing 802.11b infrastructure while migrating their network to the new 802.11g draft standard with data transmission speeds up to 54 million bits per second (Mbps). Intersil's PRISM GT technology is fully compatible with any 802.11b radio.
