Coreco Imaging Introduces X64-CL iPro Image Acquisition Board.

MONTREAL -- Value Priced, Dual-Camera, PCI-X (PCI eXtended) An enhanced PCI bus technology originally developed by IBM, HP and Compaq that is backward compatible with existing PCI cards. PCI and 32-bit PCI-X slots are physically the same, and PCI cards can plug into PCI-X slots.  Compatible Frame Grabber A device that accepts standard TV signals and digitizes the current video frame into a single, bitmapped still image. Frame grabbers can be stand-alone devices that plug into a port on the computer or a function built into the video capture board or display adapter.  with On-Board Pre-Processing

The transmitted messages are divided into predetermined lengths which, used as dividends, are divided by a fixed divisor. ), a leading developer of high-performance machine vision components and services, today announced the X64-CL iPro(TM), the industry's most competitively priced, high performance dual-image acquisition board for high-speed multiple-view optical inspection applications. With its ability to acquire images from two independent cameras simultaneously, and perform on-board pre-processing for Bayer conversion or shading correction, the X64-CL iPro is a high-value addition to Coreco Imaging's powerful X64 Series of Camera Link(R), PCI-X compatible frame grabbers.

"The X64-CL iPro incorporates a number of leading-edge features that provide OEMs with the speed, flexibility, and reliability they need," said Philip Colet, Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Coreco Imaging. "The unique on-board processing for Bayer decoding and shading correction completely offloads the host CPU CPU

Principal component of a digital computer, composed of a control unit, an instruction-decoding unit, and an arithmetic-logic unit.
. This product combines precision image acquisition with high-speed transfer capabilities, raising the performance levels of applications that demand highly reliable, high speed inspection such as, semiconductor manufacturing, electronics assembly, packaging and continuous web inspection."

Key Features

Key features of the X64-CL iPro include:

--Simultaneous acquisition from two independent Base Camera Link cameras

--Acquisition pixel clock rates up to 85MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.

--32MB dedicated on-board frame buffer memory for improved reliability

--FPGA based on-board processing engine

--Bayer decoding supports multiple Bayer patterns and white balance

--Shading correction for Base and Medium Camera Link cameras

Similar to other image acquisition boards in the X64 Series, the X64-CL iPro is engineered within Coreco Imaging's Trigger-to-Image Reliability framework to ensure highly reliable and efficient acquisition control throughout the entire image capture sequence. This exacting technology framework leverages Coreco Imaging's hardware and software innovations to control and monitor the image acquisition process, from the time that an external trigger event occurs to the moment the data is transmitted to the PCI bus.

Software Support

The X64-CL iPro is supported by Coreco Imaging's Sapera(TM) LT software for acquisition and control and Sapera Processing(TM) software for image processing and analysis, enabling X64-CL iPro applications to be developed for Windows(R) 2000 and Windows(R) XP. In addition, Sapera Processing includes a suite of optimized tools, also available as standalone, for pattern matching, OCR OCR

, blob analysis and barcode decoding. Sapera LT and Sapera Processing work together to simplify vision application development.

The X64-CL iPro is priced at $900 in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  quantities and is available immediately.
