Corechange Launches Coreport 3g; Next-Generation Access Framework Software for All Kinds of Portals Provides Single Platform for Wired and Wireless Access to e-Business.

Business/Technology Editors

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 2001

Corechange, Inc., today introduced Coreport 3g(TM), next-generation e-business access framework software for deploying any kind of portal, including corporate, community, marketplace and mobile commerce portals. Coreport 3g provides a personalized user experience based on the user's role in the enterprise, and this user experience is portable across desktop and wireless devices.

The Coreport 3g product family has an open architecture and is built using industry standards. Coreport 3g was designed for device and platform independence, scalability, security, rapid deployment and ease of integration. Single sign on gives users access to authorized content and applications. Coreport Connectors(TM) provide a direct binding between the Coreport 3g user interface and applications and content. Unlike other approaches, Coreport Connectors provide the same look-and-feel and full functionality of the native application. They do not have to be created and maintained by developers, do not require proprietary intermediate servers that increase deployment complexity and are virtually limitless in numbers in numbered parts; as, a book published in numbers.

"Successful enterprises will be those that help employees, partners and customers to become more efficient, ultimately enhancing the bottom-line," said Gene Phifer, vice president, research director, Gartner. "Gaining this type of competitive advantage requires an access framework with a unique combination of open architectures, enterprise-class scalability, and wired and wireless accessibility."
