Access Communications Systems Company Demonstrates Product

Capabilities in Booth 22755, Hall B of SUPERCOMM Trade Show

At the SUPERCOMM trade show opening here today, Corecess Global, Inc. announced the general release of the Corecess 6800 product family of Intelligent Access Servers for the carrier market. The Corecess 6800 is an intelligent Internet Protocol digital subscriber line See DSL.

It also separates incoming phone and data signals and directs them onto the appropriate carrier's network. Corecess Global is the North America Business Unit of Corecess Corporation of South Korea, recently named by Deloitte & Touche as the third-fastest growing technology company in Asia-Pacific. Corecess has shipped more than 2.7 million DSL lines worldwide to date and has seen rapid business growth outside of its Asian market. Its new products (see related press releases issued today) integrate Layer 3 routing into DSLAMs, resulting in significantly lower cost of ownership for operators.

Designed for the carrier market worldwide, the Corecess 6800 offers up to 384 DSL lines from a compact chassis. A series of 24 port line cards are available, including G.DMT See DSL.  ADSL See DSL.

The Corecess 6800 is available with two controller options. The SPC controller supports core high-speed data services of a traditional DSLAM very cost effectively. The MPC (1) (Mobile PC) A handheld or laptop computer. See handheld computer, laptop computer and Ultra-Mobile PC.

"Deployment of IP DSLAMs have exploded in the Asian market," noted Steve Klein, vice president and general manager of Corecess Global. "We are now seeing the momentum build in the North American market where the higher level of features, combined with extremely attractive economics, makes IP DSLAMs of great interest."

In addition to the Corecess 6800, Corecess also offers the Corecess 6804, which is a 96-line version of the Corecess 6800 designed into a compact shelf. Both products can be easily upgraded from a basic data service to full-service configuration in service by changing out the SPC controller to the MPC version.

"The rapid growth of IP services such as streaming video, Internet data and interactive TV has spurred the need to evolve the core network from ATM to IP," commented Steve Klein. "Quality of service can be equally managed on IP today, and the economics of IP simply demand migration. Corecess Global is proud to be leading the way with advanced IP access solutions such as our Corecess 6800 Series."

The Corecess 6800 is shipping worldwide, with several commercial installations in Europe and Asia. More information on the Corecess 6800 Series may be found at http://www.corecess.com or by contacting Corecess Global.

The capabilities of the Corecess 6800 are on display at SUPERCOMM June 3-5 in Booth 22755, Hall B of the Georgia World Congress Center The Georgia World Congress Center or GWCC is the major convention center in Atlanta. It is the fourth-largest convention center in the United States at 1.4 million ft2 (130,000 m2) and hosts more than a million visitors each year.  in Atlanta. Corecess Global will conduct live broadcast TV, video-on-demand, and high-speed data services over both ADSL2+ and VDSL See DSL.
