 Chapter Wins CoreNet Global Chapter Development Award for Second Consecutive Year

Competing against in-depth submissions from 31, locally-based chapters in the U.S., CoreNet Global New York City New York City: see New York, city.

 Chapter won the 2006 Chapter Development Award announced during the CoreNet Global Fall Summit held in Orlando, Florida The city of Orlando is a major city in central Florida and is the county seat of Orange County, Florida. According to the 2000 census, the city population was 185,951. A 2006 U.S. .

This is the second consecutive year the Chapter received this prestigious acknowledgment. In 2005, the Chapter received awards for Education, Programming and Chapter Development.

In 2006, the New York City Awards Task Force submitted in one, comprehensive category, Chapter Development, which they won. The award acknowledges leadership, strength and innovation in chapter management; financial management; leadership and governance; communications; community reinvestment; programs, events and learning; and alliances and partnerships.

"This award recognizes the dedication, involvement and excellence shown by our officers, board, committee chairs and volunteers," said Chapter chair Suzanne Heidelberger, director of real estate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol .

, New York City Office, accepted the award on the Chapter's behalf.

The awards are judged by a committee comprised of CoreNet member peers and chapter officers from across the country.

Judging criteria is strict and the process is unbiased and nonpolitical. The purpose of the awards is to give chapters an opportunity to be recognized for their outstanding efforts to advance the mission and further the goals and objectives of the CoreNet Global organization.

The awards also help the national organization identify innovative practices that can be applied to other chapters.
