CoreBrand Hires Brand Naming Expert to Expand Naming Services.

 -- Global brand development and management firm, CoreBrand, announced today that it is expanding its brand naming service Software that converts a name into a physical address on a network. It is similar to someone looking up a phone number in a telephone book by first and last name. Providing "logical" to "physical" conversion, a naming service can be thought of as a White Pages or Yellow Pages directory  behind a recognized authority on corporate and product naming. Heading up this line of business is Barry Cowan, PhD, who joins the firm's New York office as Brand Director in charge of naming services.

As Brand Director, Dr. Cowan will be responsible for developing CoreBrand's naming practice. He will work with clients to devise naming strategies, create naming systems and develop corporate and product names.

Dr. Cowan brings 12 years of brand management and naming experience to CoreBrand. Most recently, he spent five years as naming and brand manager at Cisco Systems. Before Cisco, Dr. Cowan worked at naming consultancy Master-McNeil and public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  firm Porter-Novelli. His clients included HP, Sun Microsystems, Volvo and SFMOMA SFMOMA San Francisco Museum of Modern Art .

Dr. Cowan earned his PhD in Linguistics from the University of Hawaii (body, education) University of Hawaii - A University spread over 10 campuses on 4 islands throughout the state.
